Speaker "screechies" has returned!

Last December I took my E93 to the local BMW dealer to fix three different radio problems. After 3.5 weeks in the shop, they replaced the entire business radio head, AM and FM antennae, plus a few other gizmos. Total bill was $2,700 but I only paid $100 per warranty.

Everything fine and dandy until several weeks ago when one of the problems crept back. After 30-45 minutes of good reception, a high pitched screech begins in sync with singers or music beats. It lasts for a few hours at times. I switched the speakers to front only and it is loud. For back seat speakers it is less intense but there. I know I have tweeters in the A pillars as I have the HiFi setup but I don't think I have rear seat tweeters.

Anyone have a clue to the screech source?

Just started happening on my '11 128 with only 15k miles on it but so far hasn't happened on my '11 335 with 58k miles on it.

Since you have a E93, it may be a water issue. There's a lot of drain holes on this car. If the water pools up and touches the fiberoptic, that may be the issue. Does it happen when it's raining out?
