Knockhill

Anybody getting an invite to the upcoming Bmw track day? Do you know what it entails? I'm assured by the dealer I will be getting an invite think it's the 10th of June.

Had a Quick Word with the M salesman at the dealership I purchased my car from , He told me the Knockhill day is for customers that are thinking of purchasing any M car and are wanting to road drive their future purchase

Any M car owner will not be getting to drive an M car around the knockhill circuit and abuse it because it is not your own car

Asked the question !!! Why was I not invited , His answer was "why would you want to drive an M car on the road when you can drive it anytime you want as you own one "

Sorry to disappoint no thrashing BMW M cars round Knockhill

This is of slight disappointment really. When i was buying Porsches a few years ago, i was getting asked to track days regularly. BMW dont seem to be forthcoming in this respect, and i have asked my dealers about it, and they just dont have an answer. Im off to Oulton park in August, on an MSV M4 track day, but it will only be something and nothing really, but at least i get to thrash someone elses M4 , hopefully.

I would love a BMW run track day with the chance to drive the different M cars. After I bought my Jag (it was an XFS, the fastest diesel but a diesel none the less) I was invited on a day at the top gear track and I drop the XFS, XFR, XJ super sport, F-Type V6, F0Type V8 and also go taken round by a pro driver in an XK-RS. It did cost £250 but for what you got it was amazing!

That's not what I have been told, this is the full BMW driving experience day.
You get to drive M3,M4 on the track also off road driving in BMW off road vehicles. Also get a hot lap in a touring car spec M235i with one of the BMW race team.Full hospitality for the day. I am looking forward to it as BMW know how to put on a show

Please let me know if anybody went to Knockhill as a BMW F80,F82,F83 owner and had the track day , As if my information was false and not true i will be really Piss** off and i will be naming and shaming my F82 dealer

As with my previous message on this Thread, I was told if you own a M car you are wasting your time, As they are not going to let a current M owner loose on a track with a BMW owned car ???????

Please let me know ???????

Get ready to shame them!!!!!!
I was there on Wednesday ,absolutely brilliant day.
You got to drive a selection of performance BMWs ,from 135i,235i coupes,235i convertibles ,M4,M3 M5,jump from one car to another.About 5 laps in each with an instructor. Then onto m 3/4 with an instructor fully recorded on a memory stick for you to take home and bore your friends with.then hot laps with the BMW touring car drivers.Road tests of M6 coupes and convertibles,I3 off road testing of X3/5.Handling and braking tests traction control tests Xdrive testing.
I could go on but really was a FANTASTIC DAY,you really did miss out.
If you get the opportunity to go on one of these days grab it with both hands.
Oh and the weather was BRILLIANT

I'm with 'too hot' on that one! I only signed up to let you know that you've been misinformed.

It was a fantastic day and I've received an invite too to participate.
