'09 E90 Sunroof closes and re-opens

Hey Guys

Just lost my bmw virginity - w00t

pics to come.

first issue noticed after a couple days. when I close the sun roof, it will close about 75% of the way and then retract back, as though that jam protection is kicking in.

This is intermittent, doesn't do this every time, however I got caught in the rain the other day in order to close it i had to hold down the wind deflector to get it to close.

I've already completed the re-initialization of the sun roof, no change.

Any insight would be appreciated, I hope I don't have to replace the cassette

Cheers

Sometimes the sunroof cover/shade moves around a bit which makes the jam protection kick in. I had this problem with my E46 so I just moved around the shade a little until it closed. I'm not sure if there's a permanent fix though, maybe someone else can help you with that.
