Anti trap sensor warning - reset not working

Went to roll my windows up yesterday and got the anti trap sensor warning for the back left window. Read online about resetting it by holding the window down button for 17 seconds then rolling up but tried it literally 20 times and no worky. Tried disconnecting the battery for about 15 minutes as well. Nothing. Any thoughts?

Turns out it was a busted window regulator in case anyone happens upon this post. Took 30 minutes to replace and everything works now.

Hi,

i have the exact problem it seems, however my issue is occurring immediately after replacing the window regulator (because it was so broken that the window was locked up completely). After replacing I was never able to get the settings done right using the 17 second hold method - although maybe i was doing it wrong? Can you elaborate on your fix - what exactly was wrong with your regulator that it was able to move the window yet not able to reset correctly? Thanks

The plastic piece that actually held the window at the bottom had broken so it was loose and askew. After replacing it and doing the trap reset it works fine

I'm having the same problem a lot of what I'm seeing says roll window up and hold for anywhere from one to 15 seconds... I cannot no matter how slow hold it up with out it anti-trapping and rolling down...

I mean I can manually close it so it's perfectly fully closed but the second I hold it in up position it bumps up and reverses.

Any ideas or help would be so appreciated
