I use harry fairnbairn in giffnock

With my F10 and E60 the service department have been great but with the F20 the dealership hasn't been that amazing but all in all they get the job done

Garage List
I really didn't rate Giffnock BMW.

Very poor and communication was terrible.

I find them to be pretty good- they pick up the cars if i can't drop them off, pay for taxis if i don't get a courtesy car etc.

But like i said with the F20 they haven't been great!

BMW Gifnork said they need key or something to see what exactly needs done. Douglas Park BMW
Said the same but he said there isnt point in doing a service when it doesnt need one

The cars a 14 reg with 14k miles, it says 6k more miles before oil change but Id rather not wait that long ?

Hi,

I had my F31s first service yesterday at Douglas Park, Pinkston Road, Glasgow.

No complaints - they seem reasonably organised.

I complained about the corroding wheels (centre) which they will replace as a BMW warranty item.

I don't and wont use DP for servicing, I had a very very bad experience with them.

HF have been good, sometimes a bit slow.

I don't have a problem with Arnold Clark, not sure why so many people seem to have a bad impression. All my cars (be it BMW or VW) of which they are at least 14 in the past 20 years have come form Arnold Clark/HF..

I don't either...I bought her a Mazda 2 from AC and they were excellent with the service they provided etc. and the follow up calls were also consistent to see how they car was going and if she was happy.... she is never fecking happy though.

That's great news indeed. Probably just the ACs in my neck of the woods (east coast). Just like most other dealers (see other thread re 'How do Jaguar sell cars?')..... some good and some not so good - all brands.

Not just you Wullie, all Arnold Clarks places are a disgrace they had to do something a few years back to get a website taken downs it had hundreds of people posting the poor experience they had at Arnold Clark dealerships all across the country. Website was something along the lines of "anyone but Arnold" dot com.

I used Harry Fairbairn service dept a few years ago for my E60 and they were very good, in terms of both resolving the problem and getting warranty coverage for it.

Was in vw Arnold Clark recently looking at new car for partner and she wasn't called back, didn't get test drive arranged basically poor service and didn't do what they said they'd do. Std Arnold Clark experience.

Was this the VW dealership down the road from Harry Fairbairn? I used them for years but the whole sales department have been moved on to Linwood and the team there are a bunch of newbies who are beyond awful.

No, but that one it was in the other side of the City and they were useless....in customer terms. Looked like they were used to dealing with people who come in pick a colour and then ask where to sign.
