Anyone done dark chrome painting / coating?
So I've got a black E90 and wanting to do away with the super-bright chrome work, but don't want to go all-black, either flat black or piano black. Was thinking of a dark chrome painting / coating over the existing chrome work - which is the windows surround and the front kidneys.
Anyone done anything like this? Words of advice and/or pictures?

I have the same idea except I was going to use black chrome vinyl wrap instead of paint, and I was going to wrap the kidney grill surround, the finisher rods at the bottom of the front bumpers, as well as the mirror covers. My window surrounds come gloss black so they don't need wrapping. I haven't gotten around to any of it though, but I think it should look nice.
