Broke charge pipe tonight

Totally stock 335is, got on the gas and heard a POP and lost power. Charge pipe snapped clean at the plastic weld! Now I need a new one in a hurry, anyone know where I can get a (metal) one in Florida tomorrow?

Same happened to me. I got a vrsf one by mail. Took around 4 business days for delivery to Florida during which time I was without a car, but you can pay extra for faster shipping. Not sure if there's anywhere you could buy one locally except maybe a stock one from a dealer...

I installed myself. Was pretty simple, just a tight fit. Let me know if you want more details on my newbie experience installing it.

Did you take the intake off? Looks like that is necessary?

I just installed my ER charge pipe this afternoon and yes it is necessary to remove the intake box if you have a stock system. I have a DCI and I did not remove it for the installation.

I installed the Cobb charge pipe right after I bought the car (at 10k miles) just to be safe. I am satisfied with the quality and the price was reasonable. Install is easy.

hahaha... I love e90 post

if you buy a charge pipe as preventative maintenance, you're wasting your money, plenty of people run high boost on stock pipe, blah blah blah

if you break your stock one, you're an idiot for running high boost on a stock system, etc etc

can't win around here

Mine was bone stock when it happened too. Yes you have to remove the air intake box but it's straightforward with a diy guide

You can get an AA one an you'll likely have it next day via ground, you just need to pay sales tax.

Otherwise expedited shipping is an option from other choices like ER and VRSF.

We get about 1 or 2 inquiries of charge pipes in need of overnight shipping almost every week. Do yourself a favor if you are procrastinating and just get one, it happens at the worst time, everytime.

Did mine as a precaution when I went with Cobb.
I did not want to risk blowing a CP while on vacation or something.
I feel much more confident in driving around now.

In using VRSF and found the instal pretty easy.
Just make sure you take your time and bolt in tightly.

I installed my vrsf cp without removing the intake. I used a small piece of plastic to pop the little ring off the stock one and slid the vrsf one right in there. Very simple to do.
