Rear light design
I have never liked the rear lights. To me they look cheap.
Anyone else feel this way? And why does every other BMW get 2 LED bars - but the 2er only gets 1?!? Any ideas if they'll change the shape/size for the LCI? And when is the LCI for the 2? |

The light bars are based on series. The 3/4 (6?) get 2 and the 5/7 get 3.
You can expect they will probably tweak them for the LCI and throw some LED's in the mix. The LCI would should not be until MY 2018

They look better than the 1 series did.
What I think a lot of people miss about the 2er is that it's... a pretty entry-level car (forget the price tag). They have much cheaper versions of the 2-series from what we can get in the US, so you're going to see a little bit of that in our cars. But I quite like the 2-series tail lights.. |

This is the one gripe I have with the car. These taillights are to big and overall cheapen the car.
Although there are some angles I kind of like the lights overall they just dont fit the car. I agree though; they are worlds better then the 1s were

It was done on purpose to annoy us existing 2 Series owners and trying to persuade potential buyers to go for the more costly 4 Series instead
