F32 xDrive on Dinan springs

Has anyone installed those yet? Can you please post pics, curious to see how it changes the stance.

Thanks!

I hope to be able to post in 1.5 weeks with pics. Waiting on carbon fiber intake delivery to get stage 2 and x springs installed at the same time. Like you I'd love to see others' pics to see what is in store.

My car is identical to yours with the exception for interior color, and MMPK matched with JB stage 1.. Did dinan shockware make a difference?

Shockware tightened up Comfort mode noticeably for me and even made Sport feel a bit more grounded. I am really excited to marry it to the dinan springs and bumps in that the whole package was made to work best together. I wish the advertised drop was a bit more, but I don't want to swap to coilovers.

So these spring are finally out? What's the advertised drop?

Really need a slightly lower stance without killing my stock dampers!

If you don't mind me asking, where did you purchase them from and how much were they?

I thought they're not out for the F32, or are you just going to use the F30 XDrive ones?

I've been considering trying that

are they serious. its really not the same springs for the 428i xDrive? really?

then again dinan is a "cover our ass" kinda company so they probably just haven't thrown them on a 428 and will just claim they don't officially know if it will be fine.

There would also be slight differences between the 28/35 due to the additional weight up at the front. You probably could throw the 435 springs on your ride, but the front might sit higher than expected due to less weight.

Not yet. Waiting on my Dinan intake to arrive so I can do the suspension and stage 2 at the same time. Will get pics posted ASAP before and after.

You can't? This wait is painful. Dealer refuses to admit that something got crossed up on the intake but doesn't seem like it should be this delayed. I know the Dinan intakes are on heavy back order but I placed my order for it when the "coming soon" post hit the forum in late April. I would not be surprised if I got the "ordered you an intake as requested" message from my SA, but their Dinan guy never followed up, waited to order, and I am somewhere in the queue. I will never know as the story I get is the standard shrug/"Dinan is slow", but at least three other intakes have come through the dealership in recent weeks and I "ordered" mine 3 hours after a pre-release post went up...

/rant I feel better.

I know my car is an F30 and not an F32, but I'll be getting the Dinan springs put on tomorrow and I can post pics. I highly doubt the height/stance is going to visibly differ between the 3 and 4.

Posted an updated build thread in another sub-forum (http://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho....php?t=1141695), but wanted to post here as well with my xDrive Dinan springs and bumps on for about a week.

Before and after measurements showed 7/8" drop in front and 1 1/8" drop in the rear, 1/8" more than advertised on Dinan's site. Didn't fix the xDrive stock upwards rake issue (and I didn't expect it to given the drops advertised), but it looks way better than before.

More importantly is the fact that the handing is vastly improved. I had added Dinan Shockware months ago and it tightened things up a bit, especially in Comfort mode, on its own merit, but now that it is combined with springs and bumps, the car handles amazingly well. Super crisp into and out of corners at speed. No body roll whatsoever. I am probably going to expedite some wider aftermarket wheels and performance rubber to get the best possible result (on AS RFT now and they suck).

All in all, I'd highly recommend this setup for a major bump in performance and better aesthetics than stock, but not quite as good looking as H&R Sport or as adjustable as coilovers.

Looking nice. I completely agree with your sentiments. Handling is vastly improved (even though I got only the springs). I personally don't have Shockware yet and I find a bit of bounciness, so that's something for ppl to consider when thinking about these springs. When I put it in sport mode though (or if I have passengers) it rides very well.

As fyi, I believe the reverse rake is intentional for handling and weight distribution purposes. This is seen even on M3's and M5's.
