I think the Michelin PSS are the best all rounder
Only other reasonable alternatives seem to be the handkooks and the Pirelli's I heard the Pirelli's wear to quickly though |

www.event-tyres.co.uk.
Best price overall as their price includes mobile fitting at your home or work. All new latest gear and air jacks on their vans. Polite, skilled fitters that can change large / low profile tyres without rim damage using care and plastic coated machine arms etc. If you phone up you can usually get a few quid off over the web price too. We've used them now for 7 years, sizes up to 295/30/19 with never a mark on the rims. Never go anywhere else now. The idea of driving somewhere and waiting in a grubby room for tyres seems ridiculous these days when someone will change them on your drive for less! Damage is always my main concern. Any of the chain-tyre-shop places WILL generally mark your rims with low P tyres. Last edited by doughboy; 06-23-2015 at 08:20 AM.. |

Can you specify which tyres you get from new (PSS or Pirelli) or do you just get what you're given?

As with all mass produced cars, you get what you're given. They'll have varied suppliers to guard against shortages.
AFAIK, it's Michelin or Continental for the f80. Or do people have other OE types? |
