Shopping M4. GTS input please

It's time to retire the e93 as a daily driver. I'm doing some additional upgrades and when finished it should be about 650-700RWHP. I'm looking for a new DD. I'm partial to convertibles since I live in FL but I'm keeping this one so maybe it's time for a hardtop.

What's the major differences with the GTS version?

Thx

Lighter, more power, tuned suspension. raw feel, big wing, more money.

Major difference is that the GTS is not available yet.

True. But I'm planning 6 months out. When's it coming? Is the interior basically as luxurious? I'm a financial exec and have to drive for hours a day. But I'm in Florida so the roads are pretty much smooth and pothole free. more power would be nice. Anyone doing something like a Cobb or Juicebox tune for the turbos?

Definitely not. Think a track car that is street legal. It's not going to have many creature comforts.

This.

An M4 with CF roof and DCT would smoke your modded e93 vert (a lot heavier, 600hp or not). Just saying. Not trying to start wars here.

Better have around $150k budgeted and a good contact at BMWNA to get you an allocation from the limited production run. Also you'd need another car that you can actually use on any place that isn't a racetrack.

Seems like waste to buy a track focused car to be used as a DD in a state with flat/straight roads.

No reason to buy a GTS unless it is actually going to see a good amount of track time.

going from a e93 to a f82 gts would be a pretty drastic change but def would be approved! Who wouldn't want a GTS! Lets hope the price range isn't ridiculous but def if your interested contact dealers now. although there is no info out on the release etc.. I have heard a rumor there is going to 100 allocated to US. If this is true or not I can't confirm but the info this person has given me to this point seems to be pretty accurate.

You should have said, "LOTS more money." I'm sure the base price, if we get it at all in the US will be way north of $100 grand.

I have yet to see an e92 GTS on the road since launch, yet I've seen a matte black 918 going thru Holland Tunnel . Yeah, good luck cop'n one. I doubt most CAs even know how to get one.

E92 GTS is Europe only, so that would explain why you haven't seen one in the states.

Yeah forget the GTS. Muchos $$$, impossible to get, likely not here until late spring 2016, relative uncomfortable and track focused.

If you are willing to go uncomfortable, don't mind some weight ( you like verts. ) and want huge power why not a GT-R? Otherwise the new Benz C63 offer big power potential and has a panorama roof, not full vert but closer. If your current car has 600 whp and you don't mind the handling shortcomings of a 335 vert. the M4 might not be the right car. It has a very good chassis but nowhere near the power potential of a GT-R or C63. The C63 should also feel more luxurious what I hear from people who have driven it. But make sure to drive an M4, it's a real M3 with excellent balance between chassis and engine and no real weakness. Great car.

Gotcha, and now that it'll be allegedly available in the US, I know it'll be serialized and extremely hard to get
