M Performance Diffuser for 228I - Parts Needed?

Hello I have a newbie question: My Car is a 228 M- Sport with standard exhaust.
Ive ordered the M Diffuser but I don't know if any other parts are needed.

I think I also need to order:

BMW M Performance Exhaust Pipe Finisher Adapter / 228i
18302287043

Is this needed? Do I also need to order tips. Thanks in Advance for you your replies this is the first time modding the diffuser

What else do I need to install the M diffuser on a 228 - M Sport with a std exhaust?

No!! You do not need to order anything other than the 228i M Performance diffuser part #51192343354.
You do not need the pipe finisher adapter (or anything else) if you are just swapping the std 228i M Sport rear diffuser with the 228i M Performance rear diffuser.
Here's a pic of the before and after.
That said, you'll note that the exhaust tips do not extend as far out with the M Performance diffuser as they did with the M Sport diffuser.
If you want the exhaust tips to extend out further, then you may want to get the adapter, but it is certainly not a requirement..

As Bimmerfile said, the exhaust pipe finisher is not a necessary part, so its personal opinion whether you want the tips flush or slightly out or prefer them tucked in a little. The adapter, at least for the 235, was just two 6-8 in. stainless steal tubes that would be added between the stock exhaust and stock tips. I have since added both diffuser and exhaust, but I prefer the flush look.

Well, your location states "Mars", so I don't know if you're in Canada, the States or Europe, but in Canada you'll pay (depending on your negotiating skills) somewhere between $450 - $550 Cdn + HST for the 228i M Perf diffuser at your local BMW shop. In the U.S., you can get the same deffuser for as low as $350 USD.
I got my diffuser painted for $170 Cdn (approx $135 USD) at a local Auto Body shop.

Thanks, I actually do live on Mars. I have a prototype 228i hovercraft edition and was considering installing the diffuser on it, but shipping would be out of this world.

Thanks for all the replies I actually went with black tips should look good with the M Diffuser on a EB 228. Not a fan of chrome and CF tips are way to much money!

I did get the adapter so the tips will stick out as if I had a performance exhaust.

Got a great deal from Brian at Sun Motor Cars BMW.

Ill post some pics once its installed!
