Your first day brand new car experiences

The first day I drove my shiny new car from work to home, a homeless man pushing a shopping cart walking on the sidewalk yelled at me with a bunch of swear words and gave me the middle finger. I had no idea why he did it because I never met him before and I didn't bothered him for no whatever reason. Share your first day new car experiences when you drove your car to work or vice versa.

Mine was uneventful. Spent the whole way home followed by the police just waiting for me to speed. Kind of sucked

Wonderful day spent @ the BMW Performance Center in Greer, SC...toured the Zentrum Museum & BMW factory. In the afternoon, began the drive home to LI passing every car I could find on the highway and stopped for the night in Fishersville, VA. Best new car experience ever and looking forward to doing it again with our next BMW.

I spent the morning at the BMW Welt.

In the evening, BMW NA held a party for customers from day 1 and day 2 at the Welt (I was the first customer to take delivery on day 1).

All in all, a good day.

Drove down PCH by the ocean. Upon jumping onto Sunset Blvd, some guy in his M5 tried to race me for about a mile and then smiled. Took a few pics at my local Chili's cuz I was starvin like marvin and then headed home.

I got on autobahn about 20 minutes after I took delivery, and drove at 115 mph (while keeping the engine below 4500 rpm).

My g/f and I p/u the car and we left the Nissan at the dealership. She offered to treat me to a celebratory lunch, so we parked in the busy, crowded, parking lot. No way I could risk a ding so I had them deliver the food to the car. j/k I watched my car from the window and saw people going up to it and looking at it. I suppose the E92 was not common in early 12/06. Later that night we went to an anticipated Mass and she drove the Nissan back. Oh yeah, one more stop was dropping off the BMW and then going to Pep Boys for some mats as my free ones were out of stock. The next day we took it on its maiden voyage on the New Jersey Turnpike, and paid an arm and a leg for the tolls....

The dealer called. The car was ready. I went there with some freinds and we came in to the room where it was standing - Ready. Just stod there in the middle of a big room with spots on and looked like 3mill. Damn it was beautifull. So beautifull standing there untouched and like a virgin. I put my hand on it and it was soft to. The dealer spend a good houer describing the more then 100 things they made different in the 08 model and why. And everything else. I did not realy listen. But the placement of the engine, the 50/50 and everything they did to making driving fun.
I enver got unpaitient course i was thinking " its a pity you have to go outside girl"
Then i final got the keys and filled the car with my freinds and we took off. Damn i was stressed about hitting something the first week.
Wo drove home and spend the rest of the day just looking at the new baby. More people came and just .... looked at it.
Its nice - its still nice. Drive like a dream and looks so sexy.

Btw. one of my freinds was about to get an AUDI. He changed his mind that day. I am going with him to his delevery to refresh the big day.

Drove my car away from the Euro Delivery center and proceeded to back up onto a small curb on a small street and made a small gash on the rim. Then I slept for like 13 hours due to jet lag

Drove the car home in light rain; so much for the dealer detail. The following day it rained even worse leaving my Jet Black car all with rain spots.
