435xi with H&R Before / After
Just dropped my F32 x-Drive on some H&R Sport Springs. I was a bit hesitant after reading tons of reviews regarding the 'horrible' ride quality after installing these springs. Personally, I love the ride, it is much tighter and has noticeably less body roll while accelerating into corners.

As I understand from a few different vendors I contacted, RWD will only get about 1/2" drop.
GREAT looking mod OP. Its amazing how much better the car looks with a mild drop.

Thanks for the clarification. I should have stated that in my post. If you already have MSport suspension then the drop will be about 1/2", similar to getting the MPerformance suspension. I personally think RWD MSport cars need about a 1" drop which is why I am saving up for coils.

I read soo many horror stories about the H&R and 435 xdrive combo. All I can say is I got mine done 2 weeks back and I love the ride and handling. I drove approx 1000kms by now. They don't feel like a jack hammer. Maybe H&R redesigned the spring that is shared between the F30 and F32. The shop and a very reputable one said they have not had any complaints and people may and could be exaggerating (all the forums I was reading), maybe it was their bad luck w the springs but I can say I am not bottoming out. I even have driven over so many sewers and fair size potholes and it is not far off from stock. Btw my car does not have edc. Car feels planted, no more floating, nose dives on braking is gone and it just looks amazing!! But on a note if I lived where the roads were torn up like Downtown Detroit that I experienced when I went for the Detroit Autoshow it would be very uncomfortable for day to day driving.

How close to stock does it feel in terms of comfort? I have been looking into the H&Rs, not sure if having a 3 series would make a large difference over a 4 series.

I think the H&R sport springs give the XI the perfect drop.
The HUGE gap that stock XI springs provide is such an eye sore. But with a very minimal drop, you're left with a 1ish finger gap, which in my opinion is perfect! Looks awesome! |
