Non-Run Flat Bridgestone S-04 Pole Position Summer tires

After 18,000 miles on the OEM A/S run flat Pirelli's I couldn't resist. I had to upgrade to summer tires even though I have a M235 w/x-drive.

It's a crime not to experience the power and handling capabilities of this car on sticky HP summer tires!!

I was able to purchase the Bridgestone Pole Positions at Tire Rack for $141 per tire. I wanted the Michelin Super Sports but they were on back order (1 mth wait).

Well, as you can imagine it's a night and day difference. My ride is much smoother over all road surfaces, higher level of grip in turns and the twisties, and my car now gains speed noticeably quicker than the a/s Pirelli's.

As a result I will be purchasing a winter tire/wheel package from Tire Rack in the October timeframe. After some internet research I've decided on the following combo:
- Blizzak LM-32 performance Winter tires riding on 18" Titanium BBS SR wheels.

In retrospect, this means I probably should have held out for the RWD M235i (lighter, less maintenance, and arguably more fun to drive).

Oh well, no regrets...this car has been an absolute blast as my DD! It's the best car I've owned to date (performance, cabin tech and styling). Even surpassing my 2009 rwd 335i with Dinan Stage 2 s/w, Stage 1 suspension and CAI.

Happy Motoring!

I have had my eye on these for a while, good to know they are great tires, especially for the cost.

Nice i just ordered a set of wheels with Michelin PSS they said backordered until 6/15. It's not terrible, but those Bridgestone S-04's have very similar reviews and style compared to the PSS.

They look very similar.

Nice pics. I have run each of these tires before on other cars. Pole Positions on a MKV GTI and Michelin PS2s (okay not an exact comparison) on my 2009 335i rwd coupe.

From what I can remember, the Michelins were smoother and more responsive but treadware didn't last as long. I go to a weekly car show in Great Falls, VA. Most of the high end cars there (Porsche, Aston Martins, Ferrarri, Z06 Corvettes) run Michelin SS's, PS2s or Pilot Cup. But I didn't feel like waiting until July for my tires and the Bridgestones are $50 a tire cheaper.
