I like the look of that a lot.

It's like a modern take on the E38 which I personally think was one of the best looking 7's ever.

Good luck explaining to the insurance company exactly why you got out of your car and left it with the engine running whilst it parked itself!

I wonder where BMW will stand if it crashes itself....

I would have thought the BMW legal team would have at least considered this ?

Looking very classy.

Spiel states that there is a good chance of a M7 or M750i sounds like that would be lovely indeed over 600bhp!

Technologically it sounds brilliant.
But it looks like BMW have completely lost there imagination when it comes to design. I know that the typical 7 series buyer is likely to be older and somewhat conservative in nature, but this truly is dull looking.
I can't help but think they really need to evolve the BMW saloon design language a bit more. All they seem to have done here is add 'chintz' to the previous version. Is not really that hard to make a handsome big saloon surely? They managed it with the 6GC at least.
In my eyes looks wise it's not a patch on the Jag XJ for example, which looks modern and distinctive.

Looks better than an S Class, but not as good as an XJ.

They're all land yachts though so I don't really car about any of them!

Erm cough.... I've had two :-) But at least I chose 750's both times :-) immaterial at moment as keeping my car for next 3 years. Pondering over changing wife's Cooper S Conv for a 235i Conv at moment.....

I said likely, not definitely!

Are you tempted by a third?

On the plus side it's not got larger, so there is perhaps a little hope that the new 5 series will perhaps even be a little smaller than the current one.

If it is, and they bring in some of this tech, especially the weight saving stuff and the super frugal engines and hybrids then I know what's likely to be my next company car!

I agree - my next purchase will I suspect have a 5 or XF in it. Will need to be a mighty impressive new 3 series to keep me at this level again. You'd be amazed how brilliant my last 7 actually was - was great fun but boy could it do 700 miles I a day without either it or me complaining. I just felt it gave the wrong impression to customers - seems like none of them care!

Suspect I'll be looking at M5 xDrive tho......... Keeping 335d twice as long as would so can justify going back to that or 7

It's like a 5. Only bigger. Shame on the zoomed in picture of the rear right lights, the chrome trim, lights and boot didn't line up...

Why the trendy shaped exhausts? Never liked them. Can't see the point. Doesn't do anything for the looks for me.

I swear to god I was following a black one of these for a few mins yesterday on my drive in to Knutsford. Are these even out yet?
