honestly they have pretty good builder compared to everything else out there, could it be better? sure, but it could definitely also be worse. If you want to see how a car really looks go to gtcarlot.com or color photo threads on this site.

I see that someone has never used the Porsche configurator. That thing is the gold standard for configurators, and I really don't see why BMW can't get one that's just as good--they have a lot fewer options to manage, after all.

Website sucks. I would be embarrassed.

If you look at all the car companies, most of them have bad sites.

It's like they don't drive cars at times.

I use chrome and have a very fast computer used for CAD and rendering. The configurator takes forever for me. Its incredibly annoying.

Not to go off topic but I just went into the Build Your Own Config site for BMWUSA.com and I can't believe the 328xi after destination costs $41,000 now! I remember like it was yesterday a 2008 335i coupe was that price! Just had to speak what was on my mind hahaa

I got my car, so I probably won't care for about 10 years.

I remember like it was yesterday when the 335 was a 3.5l before it became a 3l turbo.

As an IT geek it bothers me but as others have said it's actually a bit above par for the course, save for Porsche as previously mentioned which is just head and shoulders above the rest. Still BMW's "policy" and/or approach to tech is quite disconcerting but I sort of get it, they focus on engines and chassis much less on the gadgets.

I just tried to price out a new car exactly as the one I'm getting from here and it won't let me do the manual trans with Cold Weather, Lights and Premium. When I select it the dang thing deletes one of the other three. It's not the same every time either. Stupid internets.

Just keep playing with it. It'll come around, well it usually does for me. Still doesn't have the 2016 pricing or options yet. I think that's part of the problem, they're trying to work on it.

I'm on the site on a regular basis, have no issues with loading times. Remember, its not a site issue when the configurator/BMW doesn't offer the feature combination that your want.

I tried using the site today, and it seems to be working much better than it has been for the past couple of weeks.
