AUX problem, HELP!
Hey guys i have an 07 E90 sedan, the aux option on the car has all the volume up and the iphone also but i get no sound, not even static if i move it around.. Im reading and maybe i need coding to the radio so that it knows to play it. I just bought the car, it doesnt have a MULF on the back. I dont know if its that or what but i want to know if im missing a connection, or if i can code it. If any of you guys are in orlando, daytona or tampa preferable orlando closer to daytona i will love if you could help me. Or what i can do if you giys know, i just want my aux to work. It doesnt have usb on idrive, its a base 2007 sedan manual.
Also my cigarrete lighter next to the aux plug has no power. I bought some fuses but can seem to find one out, the cigarrete lighter closer to the shift know is good tho. HELP please. |

Just by stating the cig lighter next to the aux is not working I'm guessing a connection is disconnected. I would take the arm rest area apart and see if anything is disconnected.

Im not sure about the MULF question, anyone knows for sure before i take apart my armrest? Is there ankther module in the car or trunk that incan check? Ive read about TCU and ULF, i dont really know much about that or if my car has one. I checked for MULF on the trunk and all there is are cables wraped in cloth.

Thanks andy, i just took my armrest apart and guess what, someone aparantly got in there and plugged the cigarrete lighter plug which is identical to the one from the aux onto the aux female. So i just re-aranged the cables, cleaned it up and its working 100% great sound too. So this answers the question about aux and MULF's, not needed. I did find a module under there (E89x 07-03-xx) and it had a fiber optic plug.. What is that for?
