Rear Brake Wear

Anybody else notice that the rear pads are wearing about the same as the front?I am using RS29's and on my E92 with Stoptech 380 mm BBK I would go through 3 sets of fronts to 1 of rears. After 5 trackdays I am quite surprised as I turn all the nannies off on the track.

After 3 track days, my Carbotechs are wearing about the same front/back too.

My OEM rears are wearing WAY faster than the fronts for street use.

Same here. Seeing very similar wear fron and rear from my RS29. On my E92, I would use two sets of front PF08 for one set of rears. I always run DSC off at the track, so it is not DSC that does it for me.

Of note, last fall, I did 3 days on the stock pads. I wore down the fronts to about 20% but the rears still had a good 60% left on them.

I forgot that on my E92 I ran RS14's up front and RS29's on the rear on the suggestion from Andreas from Pagid. They just sent me a set of Rsl? To try at Watkins Glen with specific bedding in instructions.I will see how this works out.

It probably has more rear brake bias just to minimize front end dive and maintain better balance going into corners..a lot of BMW stock cars wear the rear brake pads first before the fronts such as the F10s and F30s.

I have had the opposite experience. My XP10's got destroyed up front and look brand new in the back. Swapping to XP12's however, I expect them to wear pretty evenly.

2 sessions this AM and the new Pagid RSL' are working great on the front with no shudder and really good bite.It seems to work better than the RS29 on a fast track like WGI.My rear brakes are another matter as I am not sure if they will last the afternoon sessions.
