Undercoat???
hey, is there anyone here have undercoat done on their car??? cause i live in a pretty hard snow area, and they put salt on the road in winter... so i was just wonder should i get under coat done on the car??? or does all E90 come with some sort of coating prevent the car from rusting already?? And is a canadian car.

I'm not sure on the e90 with all the plastic under there, but my e36 and e46 underbody were coated with a layer of cosmolene (I think it's called) to prevent corosion.

All BMWs that are built outside North America have cosmoline applied before being sent over - it's basically a thick wax to prevent the salt air from damaging the cars. In the first week or so, you'll smell it burning off the underside of the car.
I wouldn't worry about an undercoat. The bottom is covered with plastic panels, and really, unless you're planning to keep this car for 10-20 years, I doubt you'll ever have a rust issue.
