Where to buy?

I've contacted a couple of sales people from Passport & Silver Spring within the past seven days. I gave them basic outline for a lease on a 15' m4 and they said "we'll follow up & send you some quotes over emails" etc. But I've not heard back from anyone as if the market is so hot for m4 that they don't even bother. Anyone here recently purchased a vehicle with a good sales person please chime in with your recommendations.

Last time I checked, BMW of Rockville had a bunch of M4s on the lot. I purchased mine from Elliot Kwon.

I worked with John Kim (john.kim@northwestbmw.com) from northwest BMW (http://www.northwestbmw.com/) to get my M3. He was really easy to deal with and was able to setup a test drive when pretty much every other BMW dealer in the area blew me off (Passport, Sterling, Rockville etc.).

He was also willing to setup European Delivery and Performance Center delivery for me when the other dealers I tried did want to bother with the extra paperwork.

I got my ED M3 (June 2nd delivery) from BMW of Alexandria. Had a good experience there. They have quite a few M4s on the lot too but no M3s.

Before I placed my order I tried BMW of Rockville as well and was not impressed, way too pushy so I walked away and went back to BMW of Alexandria.

If you are not looking to do ED then BMW of Fairfax is good too, we got my wife's X3 M Sport from there.

PM me if you are interested in who I worked with at BMW of Alexandria or BMW of Fairfax.

John Kim is an awesome dude. My next car will be a euro-delivery and he has already pass me on all the info I need.

Petlizard Who did you contact at Silver Spring? I know someone there that can help you! They have a white M4 coupe with red Interior currently in inventory.

It looks like everyone's dealership experience varied by who they came into contact with and the time of the month. Below are the dealerships I checked out while looking for my m4:

BMW of Fairfax: I bought my e92 from here so I emailed my salesman about one they had on the lot. He said the best they can do is 2%off MSRP and they don’t take security deposits to lower MF. No go.

BMW of Alexandria: The least courteous of the dealerships I came in contact with. I asked for a leasing quote on either m3 (MSRP $75k~) they had on the lot and the numbers came back high so I asked what was the CAP cost. They told me it was $79k and said that CAP cost for leases will always be higher than MSRP lists. I’ll never buy here.

BMW of Rockville: Came and saw their huge inventory and spoke to a salesman. Very knowledgeable about cars but seem like they were too relaxed to offer me any deals so I moved on.

BMW of Silver Spring: Called after seeing an m4 listed on their site with a marked down from $77k to $71k and asked for a lease quote. Quote came back for way too high so I asked to speak to the finance director. She revealed that they used a $73k CAP cost and also marked up (maxed out) the MF. Sales manager called and asked me to come in and check out the car and talk in person. I cordially declined (they're about 45 minutes way) and asked if he can re check the number to better reflect what was originally promised and remove the mark up. I have not heard back from them in a week.

Passport BMW: They were very courteous and non-pushy but answer every calls and emails I sent their way. I also received the best quote here on my very first inquiry. The car they had on the lot was not the best match for my liking so my salesman proposed a 2016 build. He checked with the manager and came back with a super great offer for a 2016 build (non ED). I’m just debating whether to take the 16, and wait a couple of months, or wait until the end of the month and grab me a 15 for a lot lower from somewhere.

Think I went thru just about the same and ended up in Silver Spring... guess it all depends on your CA.
Anyway, just curios, based on 72k - 73k CAP cost, what would be considered a good lease deal ?

I'm not sure what really happened at Rockville, but relaxed sounds like a good thing. They have lots of inventory and should be motivated to sell. Did you make an offer on a specific car? Maybe they thought you're just window shopping.

I ended up ordering from across the country because dealers all around the DC metro area were giving shit deals and/or had little/no allocation. I paid about $1500 over invoice for a ED.

BMW of Silver Spring is 'restructuring' management. That's why you haven't heard back from them.

Anyone looking to order an 2016 car can PM me. I'll give you my salesman contact number. He was able to get me closer to invoice (for an 2016) than any great deals I've seen listed on this forum.
I had to change plans so my spot is now up for grab.
