Dinan Springs F36 X drive

Hi Guys,

I've been following along as I've been waiting for my car to come in, which should be here in about 3 to 4 weeks. It's a 428i Gran Coupe Msport X drive.

Its has the M adaptive suspension which I intend to keep but would like to add the Dinan shockwave upgrade.

I'm not crazy about the ride height and would like to add Dinan springs, but non are spec'd for these vehicles yet.

I email Dinan and they replied with this We are not doing any current development as we don't have a test car.

If you know anyone local to the bay area with an F36 Gran Coupe send them are way.

Nathan Fette
Dinan Corp.

This meaning they will test fit their springs to any willing person to provide their vehicle. This would be to determine what changes would be required to spec springs for the proper ride height and weight distribution of our vehicle.

I live on the east coast so that of course leaves me out but if someone is willing let me know and I will forward Nathans email to you.

I don't know if Dinan will give a set of springs to the volunteer, that would be a question to ask when you contact them.

I'm also in no way affiliated with Dinan Corp. I just happen to like the quality of their products and would like to have springs made to spec for my application.

Thanks to all for reading this request.

Brian

Yes, I have the same request. ACS lowering springs seem to be the safest option for the F36, as they have models specific to the the specific car, engine and layout, but getting them may be difficult.

Only seem to be avail in Europe, and even then they seem to be out of stock often.

They need a volunteer vehicle for 2 weeks to test fit, make required changes and retest. They make their springs vehicle specific, meaning the springs will be spec'd for each variant of the Gran Coupe, 428I, 435I, and each with or without x drive. Yes the same spring in the rear may work, but the front springs would most likely be different for sure, hence the need for R&D.

So if they get someone willing to let them use their vehicle in the San Francisco Bay area, there will be some product to purchase someday! lol.

I had the same problem with no Dinan springs available for my car, so I ended up going with the ACS springs - F32 with x-drive and DHP. I'm extremely happy with them. Ordered from TAG Motorsports out of San Diego.
