Dinan Springs for F31?

Hello

Was seeing if anyone has heard if Dinan will be producing springs for the F31?

Beside H&R springs, what other spring options are there for the F31.

AC seems to be a popular choice in the UK. But not many post on them in NA.
Any AC owners in North America have any review on AC springs for the F31?

I can say without a doubt that Dinan will not produce springs for the F31. Market is too small for us to dedicate a R&D project on it unfortunately.

That's a shame, if you marketed more in Europe you may find it is worth it. It would be awesome to have the option of Shockware over here.

The wagon style is definitely more prevalent in the European market. Perhaps in the future once we get more distribution there we will cater more to those chassis'. First step though before anything is developing diesel tuning as that would be the most important aspect of a true European foray.

Can the dinan springs be used with factory shocks? Will the shocks wear properly and will the ride suck?

Yes. The drop is very minor, so it's fine with the stock shocks.

Ride is good on my car with Adaptive M Suspension.

KW makes a coil-over kit for the F31. Check out the Turner Motorsports site as well as others for the details.
There are also various threads about the KW products as well which may be helpful.

If you have the DHP suspension Dinan Shockware is available for the F31.

So sad that people drink too much koolaid and ignore the touring platforms. If more people would get out of their pointless SUVs there would be money to make in touring's and companies would be right there to support them.

I recently had ACS springs installed on my F31, ride is slightly firmer, but roll and pitch greatly reduced, as is the wheel gap. Car has much better control when the trunk is loaded with gear.
Bought them from
http://www.acschnitzer-us.com/en.html

Speak to Andreas he will sort you out.

Are Dinan springs *physically* incompatible with the F31?
Or are they just not listed because of the slight differences in weight between the F30 and F31?

Garage List
They're not physically incompatible, and the fronts are actually correct (since the front end of the F31 and F30 are the same). You might have a slightly lower ride height in the rear though.

For example, if you look at Eibach's springs, their rear spring for the 335/340xi F30 has the same spring rate (95N/mm) as the rear spring they recommend for F31's. The difference is the F31 spring is about 7mm longer (relaxed length).
