M235 xDrive stalled

Just got stuck and getting towed...
DCT control lamp coming in... Clicking sound... Loss of power...

Shut it down... 2015 M235xi... 2500 miles

Transfer case?

Sucks!

Likely a sensor. Not the transfer case.

Update: it is a sensor malfunction... They cannot identify which... Doing a software reset that is believed to cure the issue as it was only recorded once. If that does not do it, need to revisit.

I am a bit sceptic here as this seems a hardware issue - sensor malfunction - being cured with a software issue. They will test drive tomorrow and then decide if to return the car right away or anything else.

Mixed feelings.

Yeah, sounds like the functional equivalent of your IT guy telling you "Reboot your PC and call me tomorrow if it BSODs again". There's a flukey sensor somewhere and they're seeing if it was a one-shot piece of crud or something that will reoccur.

PITA, no doubt.

A la the moron in our office who kept turning her computer off by tapping her foot on the surge protector switch under her desk.
