Fire Extinguisher Mounting?
Hi,
I was planning on attending a land speed event and one of the safety regulations is having a fire extinguisher mounted in the car.... see below for exact rules. My car is not a track spec nor will it be doing anything other than my DD for 98% of the time. To comply with the rules I would need to mount an extinguisher in the car. I hate to ruin any interior parts for this one event, anyone have some ideas on how to satisfy this requirement without doing any damage to the car? 2.1 FIRE EXTINGUISHER: A: As a minimum, handheld 2 lb. automotive BC fire extinguisher. B: Securely mounted within easy reach of the driver. (No zip ties or hose clamps.) C: Quick release mounting system of metallic construction. |

I installed a bracket from these guys. Uses original mounting bolts from front of the seat and doesn't foul. 5 minute install and looks oem.
