I have the 335i e92 n54 it has 83K on it and I don't think it has ever been walnut blasted if there's to much carbon build up will it throw a misfire under hard acceleration at times?

no misfires since the carbon blasting and I'm at 105k miles now. So the short answer is yes... carbon blasting could cause your issues with misfires and cyl 5 and cyl 6 are usually the dirtiest so if you are getting misfires on them... its likely the carbon build up. The easiest way to diag is to move the coils from the misfire cyl to a different cyl and see if the misfire follows the coil or stays on the same cyl. Usually spark plugs need to be changed every 45k miles on a stock car and 25k miles on a tuned car. Injectors get leaky when they leak Carbon blasting is something you will need to do at least once before you hit 100k miles (I did mine every 45k miles). |

Did you change the spark plugs and ignition coils?

Since injectors are good as well do the walnut blast. I would also double check that the procede map is not too aggressive for your mods.

you have all your bases covered, rest assured that a carbon blast will make your car back to new again. bent valve... lol... when they do the carbon blast have them look at the intake valves to see if any of those are bent |
