Anyone else going to Maryhill Loops Rally?

http://bmworegoncca.com/event/maryhi...ps-rally-2015/

I'll be there for the Sunday drive! Looks like they have a Saturday spot open for sure.

Rally? Really? Paint would suffer.

God I miss cars I can put to gravel.

I can teach you how to drive it!

On pavement I'm clueless.

I like a loose surface more. Speeds never get as high, but damn you feel alive.

Dude my first crash happened 15 minutes after learning how to drive on a rally track.

20 years later, I swear that corner is my bitch now. Okay, was. 1.5 years on asphalt, and an sti guy who actually knew what he was doing flew past me a few weeks ago.

Still, I'm no rally driver. I was just lucky enough to be born to a country that demands some of the skills just to pass a driving test.

Oh, I was like 12 or thirteen at the time of my crash. I just hit sand because I let the damn master of the track (yup, 20 years later and I still must refer him as such) intimidate me to brake in a corner.

In Finland, I am a buss user after an event like that.

I have no doubts! Besides even a bad Finnish driver is going to drive us Americans under the table. I'm an open book, so write!

Lol.

It's mostly the attitude. I go fast, but I only pass in places that are safe, and make sure people know what I am going to do (THE FUCKING INDICATORS!!!)

I'll take you for a spin.

Hell, I'll ask one of my friends to borrow me their gravel editions to show you why speed usually doesn't always work.

My new best friend! I think my indicators are in working order, so tell your friends to make some time!

He cried (almost) the first time I returned his car. His rally car.

"it's so dirty"

"dude, what the fuck did you think I'd do with it? It is a manual. You borrowed it to me near a pit. You said I didn't need to worry abt the paint job, since IT'S A RALLY CAR"

I got Peter coded today. He in the automatic blinker now does it five times. Enough to change lanes finally

I took him out to get the hazard brake lights on video, but sadly the man who was supposed to follow me was too damn slow.

Yes! Make Peter listen to reason!

I'll have to try not to be too slow so I don't end up in a story O_O

Hahah, I'm slow, when I can't go fast. Being slow isn't bad, being fast when you really should know better is.

We need to talk the guys of NW into booking a rally class for us. It would be so epic! Sure these do no gravel, but you learn a lot of yourself and your abilities when you drive on any other surface pss's should not go.

Seriously! I want to do a dirt fish course so much but beyond that just get some good old fashioned skill in sideways dirt. Let's do it Lups!

Lol, well do remember where I came from.

Really rally tracks are closed from animals. Us normal folks evaluate every situation like there is a moose behind the next bush. We go fast, but more than that we make sure if we have to hit one of those, the vegetarian won't win.

Here not seeing is a law suit. There not knowing what could be there is dying.

People with real skills and no families will make you faster, I can merely teach you how to avoid being a bitch of a moose.

Encouraging to hear! I love the concept. I've always thought about renting a closed off road but didn't think it was possible so I'm super intrigued by the event.

5 years ago it was $1000 per day I believe. I would think that has changed by now.

It was $75 for me. And I think only about 20 people. Don't know what's changed.
