it flashes red instead of orange...

i did this to my car and i think it looks great! the orange made the car look "older."

i bought my clear decal from some import tuning website, which i cannot remember what the website is. i believe i paid 7 bucks shipped for 1x1 sheet.

Did you cover the entire taillight, or just the center orange circle?

IIRC it's only the front signals that have to flash orange.
Many other cars have solid red tails.

Red rear blinkers is 100% legal, at least in California. We have the strictest vehicle codes so I'm assuming its the same throughout. Front/Side can be amber/yellow/orange/white (technically amber = yellow/orange). Rears have to be amber/red (no white for obvious reasons)

Finally had time to take a pic of the overlays. Looks sweet imo, only beef was that the vinyl's weren't precut. The amber signals aren't perfect circles, and the surface isn't flat so it was a little hard to cut.

Great idea!!!

It was easy and makes the Z look much better!!!

While I was at it, I added a plug for the trunk lock.

Goes on the outside, it's made of vinyl so it's pretty much weatherproof if that's what you're asking.
