Anyone hit positive terminal in engine with ground?

Has anyone accidentally hit the positive terminal in engine bay with a ground and cause a short/blown fuse?

The battery has overload protection built into it to prevent damage, cutting power supply. This can be verified with a multimeter on the terminals.

Typically, the car needs to be placed on a power supply (or low battery charge) and reset, this will possibly need a trip to the dealership.

Thank you very much Tom!

The car is powerless at the moment, so I can't get into the trunk to double check the battery. Should I hook up a battery charger to the terminals in the engine bay to see if I can get enough power to unlock the trunk? Or should I just have the car towed straight into the dealer?

Connect to terminals under the hood, then pop the trunk once power is restored.
