Seat memory?
I believe I used to have to hold the memory seat number in until the seat returned to the saved position. Now it's just a quick tap of the button and it goes to the correct position. Maybe it was always like this? Anyone know?

The GC seems to want you to have the door open if you want to go to a saved setting with one press of the button. If the door is closed, you have to press and hold.

Safety feature:
Supposedly if you have the door open. And you select a seat memory position, the car knows this is intentional, therefore one click and it moves. With the door close, you will have to hold to make seat move. This allows you to stay in control in the case the push was unintentional, rspecially if the car is moving.... It would be dangerous if you were driving and by mistake the button is touched, you certainly dont want the seat to move without any way for you to stop it. Even at rest, if you are rather a big person and your singnificant other is tiny, you dont want the seat to squeeze you like a lemon if you hit the memory setting of your boo by mistake.... |
