Boost leak?

How do you know if your leaking boost? Do you get limp modes or SES lights? any easy tests and what is the solution?

If you have boost leaks, i my understanding is the car will go into limp mode. Not sure if it throws codes as well. have you checked the 2 hoses by the solenoid? I took my procede off too many times so the hose developed a slight tear. As soon as I did a WOT, car would go into limp. If i didn't do a WOT, car drove fine. Double checked the hoses and sure enough, a slight tear. Cut the hose past the tear, re-attached and tried, all limp modes gone!

I had a tear in my hose by the diverters and i never got any cels or limp modes...i also had a huge tear in my rubber fitment that connected the aa bov to the ic tubing..still no codes. I never had codes for any problems when losing boost...you just feel it. I can usually tell when you aredriving at wot and watch your bost ramp up, then drop a few psi stay there for a sec , than ramp back up. Everytime i had a leak my baube would do this. Check alll your hoses and g/l.
