Production Car Care Products new QD - Amazed.
I held off posting about a quick detailer/polish/wax for quite a while, fearing I would be shot down in flames. I came across a very interesting "QD" from Production Car Care Products called New Car Polish ®. The product is new and in a Beta state - it hasn't officially even got a name yet, hence why it displays a "Question mark" (?) on the bottle. As a background, I have a Jet Black E92 coupe which I look after meticuously. I was using Meguiars Ultimate QD over Soveran Wax, prior to this product. Anyway, the product is available from their site at $20 a bottle. I bought 2, hoping this was the QD I was going to settle on. Two things you will notice instantaneously is the petroleum flammable based smell- not as nice as some QD's out there and it's milky fine liquid state when applying. I wasn't immediately blown away any more than other QD's, but decided to give it a second chance. I applied a second layer about 12 hours apart. I made sure to remove the product by buffing it over several times with a super plush MF towel and inspecting it panel by panel. To cut a long story short, this product makes my car shine like a diamond and moved the darkness of the black paint to a richness level, I have never seen before. Over the week it seems to outlast all other QD's. It's anti-static properties are amazing. My car sits in a garage 4 days of the week and the dust levels are way, way reduced and the gloss level hasn't subsided. Don't know if it is stripping my Souveran wax and replacing it with it's own fillers but Holy Sh....t this product is amazing. At last I found a product worthy of keeping. I was a skeptical as everyone else but after trying it, I couldn't keep it to myself. You have to try this ! I put links below, if anyone wants to sus it out : http://www.cleancarproducts.com/products.html and here: http://vids.myspace.com/index.cfm?fu...9-b5ad3d3c9497

Their products could be the best in the world but their approach is horrible. There have been a few vids posted of these guys going to places and putting down other products. I even saw a vid where they approached Adam from Adams Polishes and challenged him to a test. Sure enough Production Car Care's product did better than Adams QD, even got a nod from Adam himself, but the idea of busting someones balls to show you're better is not cool.
Whats up with that "Meguair's Fan" comments. Guys been baking his head in the sun too long. On another note, anyone notice how he was QDing the cars that were obviously dirty, none the less, in circular motions. Ugh. These guys prove nothing to me other than that they have a product that is obviously rich in fillers and oils (you can tell just by its darkening effect on those paints, most qd's don't carry enough of anything other than lubricants to clean dust off paint). I'm sure if given the product for free, I'd find a use for it, I might even like it, but I wouldn't buy it from them based on what Ive seen. (In this vid he polished a filthy car with Meguiars Deep Crystal showing its inferior. Pfft

honestly those videos dont really mean anything. "Car care expert" at Autozone?
If you've ever met Adam, he's one hell of a business man. Did you hear him complimenting on the other guy's sunglasses? He will never come across negative and will always treat you to food and drinks, he will NEVER bash another product. He is confident in his product and has seen newcomers come and go. He knows he is here to stay. Many fads come and go, such as the new "System One" polishes that are out. I do have a sample of this product and I dont see it anymore than a acrylic spray QD. They are comparing their $20 product to an OTC $10 Megs UQD targeted at a different market. Ill give the QD another shot, but I already gave it away. Ill have to ask for it back for a quick retest. But trust me guys, this is a come and go type of item. I also love how they label their QD a "polish" But remember, its detailing so its all in the eye of the beholder, if it works for you? BUY A CASE! |

is it bad to have a product that's full of filler or something? I want to buy a glaze or something that will cover my spiderwebs from washing at the dealership without my arm falling off...any ideas?? I remember you telling me IHG is bad

Hey that guys posts got taken out!! (one of the owners)
If you missed it, that guy posted in here promoting his products, and I guess that was not cool! Which I agree with the mods for taking out. This is a forum with a free exchange of ideas and opinions and not a sales thread. I am FAR more likely to buy a product because a MEMBER (sparky66) told me it was good then someone who is affiliated with the company! I respect him for trying so hard, but i think his marketing and promotion is all wrong like joyriide and FMINUS stated. |

I agree with what most are saying in regards to his marketing approach but at the end of the day I'm buying a product based solely on its' performance and availability, not on his personality, character or if his eyes are too close together... lol

Use it religiously after every wash as a final touch quick detailer. Still think it's "amazing". It Remains as smear/dust free as possible and gloss reflections are thru the roof.
It's definitely a keeper !!

The guy, Phil, in these videos only proves that he knows nothing about the products or how to use them. This company knows they have misleading information so they have chosen to not allow comments on their YouTube videos. If they are going to make claims, ambush a respectable guy and compare products at least allow people to comment on the videos. They must be afraid of knowledgeable opinions ruining their horrible "expert" review. What does the guy think hes proving adding a product to a dirty black car that's sitting in direct sunlight in the parking lot of an auto store. Only thing it proves is this guy is an idiot. I will avoid any product this company produces since I have seen the videos of their "expert". Any company associated with this Phil guy is not one I trust to maintain my vehicles.

I'm not going to judge this product because I haven't used it, but what makes it so much better than other quick detailers? 30 dollars is a steep price, tell me how your QD is better than something like aqua wax? Which is very easy to apply and actually has the protective qualities of a sealant.
Edit: After watching the videos I can't believe he was using these products on a dirty black vehicle to be honest I wouldn't buy their products. I can only imagine the swirls he caused by wiping the products in a circular motion on a dirty vehicle. Oh and before you say I'm being "paid off" I'm not even a fan of Meguiars' products anyway.
