Recommend SA at Braman for service?

Need to take the car in for service this week at Braman; wondering if anyone here recommends a service advisor there before I head over. Preferably one that has dealt with modded BMW's (Lowered and wheels only).

I'm also interested in good contacts at Braman WPB Service. Right after I got my car (elsewhere), I called them to try to get someone to hardwire a radar detector but they passed me through three people, the last of whom told me they aren't really supposed to do that there. I was a little surprised by that response.

I had been going to Braman Audi Service for a few years with last car / wife's car and my SA there became service manager in Jupiter. She was great so I have been considering going there even though it is further away.

Honestly, if you are willing to drive, Coggin BMW has the best service department in South Florida. I have used them religiously for 15 years and the service manager is a friend and former shop foreman (he really knows his stuff). No other store in South Florida will give you the level of service Coggin will give you. If you are not willing to drive north, I suggest you try Chris Woodruff at Braman WPB (he used to be my advisor at Coggin and he left for Braman a couple of years ago).

Thanks. I'm going to give Braman WPB a try but good to know about Coggin.

Wow. That is a very different line of work. It looks like Chris so I assume it is the same guy. I hope you can find another good advisor at Braman. The other guy I liked at Braman service department now works for Coggin....

i just started a thread yesterday and mods moved it to this section and I saw this thread

http://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho....php?t=1169307

when I get my car i'm gonna hit you up nick, I wanted to ask you since I can't find a straight answer on the forums. On the 1200 service do you guys change the transmission fluid on a 6mt ? in the manual it says yes and some people have gotten it changed and some say no its a life time fluid which I doubt. if they don't change it do you recommend doing it yourself?

thanks

6mt fluid is a "lifetime fluid" the reason I put it in Quotes is because sometimes we end up changing it dependent on how the person utilizes their car. That's in reference to lifetime fluids period. Do I recommend changing it, not really. If you plan to track your car a good amount I recommend changing all the fluids every so often. Remember your transmission is covered under warranty. If I remember tomorrow I'll attach a picture of the repair procedure for 1200 mile service.
