Spring rate info and my e90 rear spring are soft??
I bought coilovers from fortune auto 500 series with 7k front and 9k rear....
But the rear is so soft compare to the front I can push the back of the car down by an inch with my hands and there's a label on my rear springs, it says SLC_024_245090. I measured and they have 245mm length 90mm diameter and id like to know the spring rate they were suppose to be 9k spring Can u help me I don't think it's normal to have something that soft maybe the spring ain't 9k or if they are maybe I did something wrong Sorry for my bad english Thanks Sebastien |

They ride ok but its soft and when i hit a bump or have a someone in the back the car goes totally down and the wheels are hitting the rear fender over bumps.
when i hit a bump i feel the front is stiff and stable but rear probably goes down by 4 inches I just dont understand why the travel is so huge compare to front! it cant be normal :S sometimes i just park in a non flat area and i see my rear left side totally pushed down and the rear right side all jacked up like a big foot and the car is empty my bmw x1 and my old Subaru are stiffer at the rear lol its stupid and the front well the front is just perfect! ATM on flat surface i have a normal bmw 3 series Wheel gap i feel like the my old oem sport pack suspension had a stiffer rear lol Last edited by Exept19; 08-02-2015 at 12:21 PM.. |

I have fortune auto 500's on my coupe. The recommended rates for our cars are 8k front and 11k rear as posted on their website... I'm not sure why you have 7k and 9k???
When ordering I asked for swift springs with custom rates (10k and 13k) and the ride is super smooth even with the dampening to full stiff. The original sports package suspension has a very weird ride, the springs are very soft and are paired with stiff shocks. Anyways, its very easy to manipulated your ride quality and suspension travel when changing spring preload and using the adjustable dampening |

I dont have Swift spring that's why I'm stuck with 7k front and 9k rear maybe I should switch to swift spring and revalve my shock
I have tried different preload and shock length but haven't found something that made my rear more stiff with less travel maybe I'm dumb I don't understand how but I'm pretty sure I have tried every possibilities Do u have picture of ur setup and ride height for me |

I don't understand why you have such soft springs unless you specified custom rates. The fortune autos for all rwd e90/e92 come with 8 and 11k springs from the factory. If you were to get new springs at a different weight I would recommend swift. Revalving the shocks would be a good idea especially if your dramatically change the spring rate, I'm sure you could get away with not sending the shocks out if you only increased the springs slightly. I have no pictures at this time, Joe |

How low is ur rear suspension? Like tire flush to the fender or tire inside fender And when u have people in the back does it Move a lot
I will probably copy ur spring rate setup with swift spring next summer with a new e90 335i I just wanna be sure I won't have the same problem Thanks Sebastien |
