My aching back - solved!

So I've owned my 335i coupe since 2011. Bought it new. Love the car, but for some reason the seating has been the most uncomfortable seat I've ever had in any car. I just could not get the positioning right. My lower back would ache after driving any more than about 20-30 min.

I thought I tried everything, adjustments with seat height, back angle, seat angle, etc. I finally figured it out and it was a total shock to me. I deflated the lumbar support all the way and that solved my problem.

For years, I had thought that having the lumbar support inflated should help to "support" the back, but deflating it helped to fill in the gap that was always present between my backside and the seat.

Just makes the car even more of a pleasure to drive. Just thought I'd share this with the community.

Cool! I was actually messing around with that lumbar today... didn't even know that was a feature. I tried inflating and deflating and I found a good middle ground more on the deflated side. So far, extremely happy with it, especially the side bolstering. Really keeps you in your seat in the corners!

I'm embarrassed to admit it took me a few days to figure out the adjustable "wings"/side bolsters; I imagine they're comfortable for people of average height or taller, but for a short guy, they dig into my ribs and I have to leave them all the way out all the time :/ [It is fun to explain all the buttons to passengers and watch their face as they enjoy the lumbar height and side bolster adjustment]
