DP Installer?

So I went to Lou's Custom Exhaust over in Salem NH today to 1) inquire about having the PE mod done on my OEM exhaust and 2) have my VRSF downpipes installed.

1) A guy there told me he did the PE mod one other time and the customer came back within a week and told him it was horrible and had a new system installed.

2) He said it wouldn't be worth his time to take apart all that was necessary to get the downpipes installed without charging me insane money

So, with that being said.. Can anyone recommend a shop close to the Lowell area that can install dp's on a e92 335i (n54)?

I wouldn't both with the PE mod personally. If you want more sound jam a screw driver into your mufflers a few times

some shops just don't want the work. One place quoted me $600+ for the install.

Curious as to why you'd recommend against the PE mod and thanks for the recommendation - we've been in touch

I mean the PE mod is just sound and the cost to have a shop do it is rather high imo because of the labor involved.

When you install the DPs your exhaust will get significantly louder that + the golf T mod or unplugging the connector and see how you like it.

There are inexpensive catbacks that bolt right up so you can always buy one of those. I forget the ebay model people have had good luck with it might be this one: http://www.ebay.com/itm/MANZO-STAINL...s=Model%3A335i

Or just go to a shop and remove your mufflers and replace them with aftermarket.

Just my thoughts...

Max at Northeast Autobahn. I think its 2.5 hrs for the install and 80$ per hour. I plan to get mine done here (For the DP)
