EDC or no EDC 4 series

Seems like a dumb question, but how do you know exactly if you have EDC on your car? I have the M-Sport package which has the M-Sport suspension, but I did not get the dynamic handling package . Is the only way you have EDC on your car is if you get the dynamic handling package? I do have tthe little button where you can switch from sport to sport + or Eco.....but not sure about the EDC.

when configuring a new car and you chose M sport package by default you have M sport suspension, but if you want to have M sport adaptive suspesnsion you have to pay for this option, if you want to be sure go see a dealer they will tell you what options are in your car... yes I think that adaptive suspension comes with the dynamic handling package

It's part of the dynamic handling package. If you don't have adaptive suspension the sport/sport+/Eco button just changes throttle response and shift points. One easy way to check if you have it is when you're switching into sport mode, you'll have the option of changing both drivetrain and chassis or one or the other. Like this picture below:

I don't have DHP and so I don't have this option when I switch modes.

Well I don't have the DHP, but I DO have that option between drive train and chassis when I switch modes

I had a local shop here look at the car though and they say I don't have EDC

I used to live in Irvine but I'm out in the south bay now. I still frequent the OC from time to time.

Let me know next time you're in the Irvine area, I'd like to compare my car to yours to see if there's any physical differences on the shocks or struts regarding all of this since I have that option on the drivetrain/chassis config

You get that screen regardless of whether you have M Adaptive or not. If you don't have adaptive, then it will just change the steering feel.

Garage List
Easy way to identify EDC/DHP: Look at the shock and see if there is a single black thin wire running from it. If it's there, it's adaptive. If not, it isn' t adaptive.
