I personally do not think that is the proper gap for the plugs. If i remember correctly when I did my plugs the gaps was in the range of 50 thousands. Too small of gap is not good that is for sure.

I'm going to order the bosch ones this week--I have read countless opinions on this and I think the differences are marginal except it seems like I have read more people have had issues with the NGK. I have been running the stock plugs and they have been fine. It's like are the NGK's going to give me an extra 5hp? Don't think so. I've yet to see actual evidence that the NGK's are better other than opinions that they run cooler and are therefore better.

stock is .028, high boost cars should be gapped tighter no idea where you're getting 50 from |

What mods are you running? To get 19 psi you must have more than me--What constitutes extremely tuned? FBO with meth and larger turbo?

Okay forgot to convert in my head from US/Thousands to German/mm I did my Ford right after my BMW and was stilling thinking in thousands. For the 335I it was 0.56mm which I think is about 0.023 inches. When I did the BMW the new plugs were gapped out of the box every one was exact, I did not have to gap them even though I did check them. The ones I pulled out were perfect, they really did not need changes even with 40K miles on them I know there was some discussion about making the gaps bigger if the engine is running rich which is seen by a brown color on the plugs. I did not have this issue.

Despite what BMS site says about longevity (completely false in my experience) I will probably never go back to Bosch plugs. The NGKs just last longer and behave much better when worn. When Bosch plugs die they DIE. Big misfires on every high load low rpm pull. My NGKs don't act like that with double the mileage. Only drawback is the precision gaping required to allow the car to idle normally. Took me 3 attempts.
