First service at 1,000 miles?

Just picked up a 2015 335i xdrive last week, car currently has about 320 miles on it. last two times ive started the car i've noticed it say "600 miles till service is due" now i know that the M3/4 has a 1200 mile break in service but as far as i can recall on my previous 335 the first service wasn't till about 7500 miles. Is this normal or does the computer just need to be reset?
