It'll raise your octane from a 91 to a 91.5lol if that. Waste of money.

Actually, I just happened across it the other day. The main product listing description under madditives says it cleans injectors and is safe for O2 sensors, but the product detail in VP's online store says not for use with converters or O2 sensors. Let us know which is correct lol

For me the NOS octane booster is tried and tested. Based on my own exp It cleans up my logs in jb4 map 2 pump flash. Im gonna try the MADDITIVE next gas fill up and will try to log map 2 and map 7 see if it will put me to map 4.

Try out the Torco accelerator too, good stuff but expensive. I had the best experience with MMT ones for daily use (cost wise) and chose to use the Lucas oil Booster purchased on amazon in 12 packs (think I paid $6/ea). Obviously upgrading your lpfp and just running e85 is cheaper in the long run.

I tried Torco and I'm sure it increased octane, $ for $ 1 or 2 gal of E85 is a better solution.

Yup. 10gal of gas+a whole can of madditive. Log it too. If its not real it will kick you to map 4. Make sure increase your boost limit to 21 or 22.

I use Lucas Oil octane booster when I get shitty gas at the pump. I have done some before/after logs at 17psi and you can clearly see the timing drops on all 6 cylinders before because of knock. After adding the Lucas Oil octane booster, timing looks perfect on all cylinders, no knock.
Only downside with any octane booster is it will make your spark plugs turn orange/maroon color... Not sure of all the side effects of this stuff. Lucas oil claims it's safe for O2 sensors but... Last edited by Gizm0; 08-17-2015 at 07:43 PM.. |
