it def looked like a BMW inline 6, my guess was a n54 red coupe... saw the same accident, this is right by my work. car is so mangled its hard to tell, but that engine looked a lot like an n54 to my eyes.

News said it was a 2006 BMW but didn't say what model.

I see no oil filter bump on the intake manifold. my guess is not a n54...but either way that sucks the guy died. Now why he was speeding into the tolls is beyond me, there are always cops there and at 100mph you are aiming for a small hole. Any mistake and well we see what it gets you.

I'd just showed up for work maybe an hour earlier near exit 10. Employees started filing in afterwards and reports started to surface. Last I'd heard the guy had caused an accident a few miles prior by swiping another motorist, basically a hit and run. Apparently from other motorists accounts, this dude was swerving and driving erratically before the accident and some calls were made to NH State Troopers alerting them of this maniac. In his angst to get away, and in his likely drug or alcohol induced stupor, he chose to step on it. Rather than bypassing the tolls and remaining on I3 to terrorize more drivers, he took the exit and smashed into the booth damn near killing an 83 year old toll collector. Car burst into flames and he got roasted like an unattended marshmallow over a campfire. Can't say I feel sorry for the guy, but hey my heart goes out to the family. Even an asshole has peeps that love 'em.
