Center Console Waste of Space

My 4.4i E53 came with a Motorola Star-Tac phone dock. Now I bought a 2013 335is E93 and it has this crazy phone adapter thing in the center console. Pretty sure I can't hook my Samsung S6 to it in any way

Are there any options or other configurations for the center console that I can modify it to, to make better use of this space?

you can sell it and replace it with the little rubber cover that comes when you dont have the 6NR (I believe) option
