Ceramic Brake Pads
Well, 2 strikes.. Ive ordered ceramic pads from two different vendors.. and both were wrong.
Looking for ceramic brake pads for my 2013 F30 335i. I had NAPA ceramic on my old 325 and they were awesome, simply NO dust. Anybody find any for the F30? (for reference, I am doing doing it for stopping power.. I want less dust!) Last edited by JordonMusser; 08-26-2015 at 09:21 PM.. |

Look up Cool Carbon pads. I believe EAS carries them.

Stoptech has a great street performance pad, that is both better in performance/stopping power and has less dust than OEM, but not dustless. http://www.hpashop.com/Stopteh-Stree...2x-F3x-F8x.htm |

Check out the Hawk 5.0 Street pads. New compound over the old HP+. I'm currently running them and they are nice compromise - very linear feel with good power and almost no dust. Best pad I've found so far. The Hawk Street Race pads are like hitting a wall, fucking amazing pad but the dust is downright horrific. The 5.0's are less aggressive but no dust and they were just fine during a track day at Lime Rock a couple weeks ago.

http://ebcbrakes.com/product/redstuff-brake-pads/ Had them for 5 years on my E46. Never had a pad with less dust. Very good cold and hot brake power. No fading even after 10 full stop (they even get better when hot) Just make sure you would order the right ones. Do you have the regular brake rotor setup with 340mm front, 330mm rear or any of the Sport Brake setup with 370mm front, 345mm rear? I've only seen them available for the 370mm, 345mm variant in a German EBC Distributor so far. So below listed you have those for the 340mm/330mm rotor variant http://www.placeforbrakes.com/produc...r=2013&avail=1

FYI, i ended up finding autozone ceramics and installing them the next day. They stop as well as the factory pads, and virtually no dust. Note this is just my daily driver, pad fade/etc are a non issue for me.
So lots of good info in this thread for future searches. |
