New GC Order

Good evening fellow BMW forum readers,

After a long time of deep contemplation, I've decided to move away from my Audi A7 and head into the world of the cherished BMW.

I have ordered my first BMW and would welcome all your thoughts and comments on my order.

I bucked for the 430d xDrive M-Sport GC with the following configuration:

Individual Champagne Quartz Paint
Individual Merino Black Leather Seats
Individual Piano Black Facia Inserts
Individual Leather Instrument Panel

M-Sport Plus Package with 442M Style Alloys
Advanced Parking Package
Active Security Package
Interior Comfort Package

Steering Wheel Heating
Adaptive M-Sport Suspension
Variable Sport Steering
Model Designation (deletion at Rear, kept the M-Badges on sides above breather)
Exterior Parts in Body Colour
Comfort Access
Towbar, Fully Electric
Exterior Mirrors, Folding & Auto Dimming
Split Folding Rear Seats
Seat Heating Rears
Lumbar Support - Driver & Passenger
Adaptive LED Headlights with high beam assist
Active Cruise Control with "Start & Go" function
Surround View
Head-up Display
Internet with Online Entertainment
Enhanced Bluetooth telephone with USB & Voice Control
Speed Limit Display

All standard M-Sport specifications included.

I have never really went to town before on a car regarding options - my A7 was a basic S-Line model, so I thought, if I'm going to go for a new car I may as well get the best specification I can afford.

I got a great deal on the car with no car to trade-in as I managed to shift my Audi privately. They even threw in GAP Insurance, Tyre and Alloy Insurance, Paint Protection Pack & BMW's Service Inclusive Package.

The only thing now is thinking about any additional after-market accessories that might be added on delivery (which is likely to be November this year, due to the Individual options being specified).

I can't wait to see my own plate on the car when I collect it. I've read so many of the forums on the Internet and I'm proud to join the realms of the BMW community

Sounds like a lovely mix, especially the individual bits they really do make the car stand out from the normal run of the mill.

Im sure you'll love it

Thanks - I haven't found any images online of the interior of my car with the exterior mix, so hoping I have made a good choice. Thanks for your comments.

Black interior goes with anything so you shouldn't worry about that.

Do you realise the internet cost is per year? And a fairly pointless option if you own a smartphone?

Not all the members in my family have a smartphone, so I thought it might be worth the addition - time will tell however? Appreciate your feedback though!

Thanks Kal27, I have read about the ACS Springs and they sound fantastic. I had also thought about the dual exhaust upgrade (a bit of a stickler for symmetry) - what do you think about that?

Brilliant idea.

Also a good excuse to upgrade to a twin outlet rear diffuser at the same time

Ps can testify That ACS with adaptive msport do work brilliantly as does the strut brace

Sounds great - I think it will just finish it off and make it such a great looking addition to the family. Thanks for your suggestions and advice.

Amazing car! GC is a real looker. Individual leather and going black? Is it plain black? Or some stitching colours?

It's a plain black with contrast stitching and piping - looks similar to oyster colour, but not entirely sure. I think it looks good on the configurator from what I can see.

Thanks for your feedback

Sounds like a great set up, you'll love the car. I would recommend going with a front lip as well....lots of choices out there, but my 3 favorites are Vorsteiner, Reiger, and the M-performance

Here's the Vorsteiner lip on my GC

Would look really good on your paint color choice

Gorgeous looking interior, certainly what I would have ordered if speccing new......you need to get the ally pedals to match the deadmans footrest
I'd like to see the external car colour in the flesh.

As others have said, your going to love the car, they are superb

Congrats on your order. Pretty loaded spec there! Interesting to see you went 430d instead of 435d as you're going X-drive anyway.

Thanks for your great comments - it's quite funny, the dealer also said they haven't seen that combination of colours and are keen to see it in the flesh. I can't wait - it feels so long away until my EToD.

I waited 3 months for my car to arrive, but was well worth the wait. What I did was order most of my aftermarket parts while I waited for the car, so once it arrived they were ready to start installing. I've only had my car for about 2 weeks now but am already putting everything on it

Just couldn't quite justify the increase in price to the 435d. Might be the one to get the next time. I wanted the specification inside as I commute in my car daily for over an hour, so the interior options were important.
