Any M235i ers living in Charleston SC willing to help out a future owner?

Hello,

Believe I found my dream M235i car in South Carolina. Charleston to be exact (Hendrick BMW). Problem is I live in Seattle WA and never bought a car sight unseen.

Here is the link to photo's of the car:
http://maxdigitalshowroom.com/web/#!...1J7C51FV289139

If I can strike a deal would one of the current owners here on this forum be willing to give it a once over look? I'm sure if would be good for a SBUX gift card with enough for a months worth of coffee.

Or if this is not a common request I suppose I could roll the dice or fly down there and have it shipped back

FYI: no disrespect for those who have contacted me with their cars for sale. I've appreciated those connections and learned a lot along the way (did not know most folks mod their M235i's--now I get that!). This one seems to check all the right boxes for me. However, not sure if it's a CPO car---checking on that now.

Looks like a nice car. Good luck with the purchase.

If I remember right, if it is not CPO you can have it CPOed for about $1,500.

One thing to keep in mind, since it is a 2015 the free maintenance is non transferable.

Simple solution... CPO may not be necessary. Local BMW Dealer can email you cars maintenance records and do pre-purchase inspection (not as intensive) for $150 - $200.

PS: There is I believe a brand new 2016 Mineral White on Red XDrive Automatic @ BMW of Reading PA. They usually give great deals.

Best of Luck.

Thanks DanG. Good point and yea a 2014 would save some $$ over the long run.

Big debate for me. There is a private party car available that I found just yesterday. It's in Kentucky and looks very nice. Still not super close to SEA. It's a 2014 and priced at $40.5K. It's optioned the exact way this one is with the same colors too (White/Red). Hmm...

PM me. I'm about 3 hours away in Greenville but always up for a road trip to Charleston for the day. Might have to be next weekend though, let me know.

Hmmm, wonder why it's not a CPO car ? It's listed on the Rick Hendrick site as pre owned, not CPO. Beautiful car though

Oh boy, that is quite a drive but really appreciate it. I'll let you know how this shakes out. I talked to the sales agent yesterday. He's going to email all the history and stuff and then if we can strike a deal I'll let u know. Thanks again for the reply. Cheers.

Good question. Sales agent and I have talked and he said it was an BMW exec car that one of their folks had up in Jersey. Some place I had not heard of but I'm not in the NE either. Hendricks bought it from an auction (he said only BMW dealers can buy the car). But yea, why is it not CPO. I believe the other three are listed that way.

He's sending me the build sheet etc. I need to ask again about not being CPO.

Just noticed a 2015 EB manual showed up on Hendricks website, CPO but Six grand more. Wonder why he's suddenly getting all these used 235s

No problem, just let me know and we'll work something out. I never mind driving to Charleston, one of my favorite places to hang out. I'd just make a day trip out of it.

note that CPO isn't transferrable anymore, [edit] except through a BMW dealer...

Kind of defeats the purpose of having a dealer CPO your car if it's not transferable. I may buy my lease and was thinking of having it CPO'd from the dealer in case I want to sell it after a year or two but basically there is no reason to CPO it. I would only do CPO as a tool for resale so that's a pretty dumb policy.

OP here..

I'm seeing them in CA also and what I'm hearing as "exec demo cars" but that might be just the cool thing to say. A lot of dealer sites on the west coast say "pictures to follow" or "in transit" since they are on a truck post auction. But again very few 6MT cars in Seattle WA area but I did get to drive one finally. I love my E46 M3 but Wow...

It took me a while to find a 6MT version as well, but I thoroughly enjoyed it. What a great car. If they weren't coming out with an M2, I would have highly considered it. The only complaint I had was the soft brake pedal that I didn't feel on the 8AT version

I live in charleston and am buying an m235 vert from them. I've looked at your car a couple times and promise you it's cherry. Call and ask for a guy named Tune. Tell him michael who is setting up the m235/m4/4 series sale sent you.

"exec demo cars" may include those used at Performance Centers, those loaned out to events like the US Open, and sometimes those used at car shows
