Intake question

Has anyone ever chopped up the stock air box and put a DCI inside to keep the OEM look? I used frequent the my.is forums and vaguely remember someone using the stock airbox to "hide" a turbo. I'd like to do this, so I can pass visual inspection.

PS* I know it takes like 15 minutes to install.

If you are doing this only to pass visual inspection I suggest just using DCI and swapping back for the stock box before inspection... Like you said it only takes 15 minutes.

Just bought used DCI's for 50 bucks, and an used OEM stock airbox for 50 bucks. Should come in the mail next week. Updates coming soon.
