KW V1 07 e93 335i Popping Sound

So I had KW V1's installed last week, and when turning the spring on the coilover is trying to move and making popping sound. The shop researched and said I needed to install Roller Thrust Bearings to prevent this. Is this the case? Is this all it will need? I tried searching and didn't come back with much as Thrust returns the joint in the arm for the most part.

Is this common?
