Free oil cooler bypass ??

Has anyone tried this? Is this the same as the bms oil cooler bypass? If so what's the point of the bms oil bypass?

What's the point of the BMS CDV delete valve? You can remove your CDV completely and the line will reach. Or you can take your existing CDV and "punch out" the restricting piece and make your own BMS CDV delete valve.

So what's the point? It's a company selling a product, and as long as they can advertise it in a way that consumers will buy it, the company will still sell them.

I'm talking bypassing the thermostat for the oil cooler here nothing to do with the clutch.

Thats my video. And yes it works. I put it back however as its colder where i live. But it did work. The bms valve works a tad better. But there is a company that makes a legit low temp stat. Ad engineering. Id recommend that over my method

I know what you were saying. You obviously didn't read the rest of my message. My point was that it's the same as the clutch, as in, it's a product that the company is selling. Sure you can make it yourself, but if the company can sell it, they will. The way they market these products makes the consumers think the products are more superior than they actually are, and in turn results in people buying things they don't actually need, like the CDV valve for example. Which is why I referenced that...... it was another example of the same company selling you something that you don't need.

I have been running this on my single turbo setup and it's great! Zero side effects besides cooler temps. 210-215 all day in 95* south Florida

I have been running the BMS delete and it works great. My temps are usually around 215 and I never see temps over 250, no matter how hard I run it. I will switch back to the OEM thermostat in the winter because we have 4 seasons in NC.

ok i just did this mod and just flipped the oem thermostat like it is shown in this video and it works!!!! I live in los angeles and its been over 90 degrees all summer and it usually warm all year long and with the stock thermostat my cars oil temp is normally always 240-250 degrees. With this free mod my temps now in 100+ degree heat is only 215-225. This is great and must more ideal running oil temps.

Two quick questions:
how much oil will leak out when the cover is first removed? I know the oil drains to the pan but I assume some will spill out.
You don't turn the piston around, correct? I know you swap positions, but the piston has a place to seat the spring on both sides then?

No oil will leak out when you remove the cover. maybe a few drops. You do not turn the piston around. normally the piston in behind the spring. All you do is put the piston in first and put the spring on top of the piston.

Perfect. Thank you. This will be great as temps are 95-100 degrees this summer.

I pulled mine out today and took some measurements. I'm going to make one on the lathe out of some extra aluminum I have laying around. I could put it into CAD and post the dimensions if anyone wanted to DIY it.
