Pass inspection with 1 not ready code, it's real!
Hey guys, I got my inspection passed yesterday with Evaporative system monitor not ready.
Here's my OBDII readiness last year: Catalyst Monitor READY Evap Sys monitor READY O2 sensor Monitor READY O2 sensor heater monitor READY And maybe 1 more I forgot... That was when my car was bone stock. Now I am in Cobb stage 1+, and my Catalyst monitor becomes NOT SUPPORT!! Does that mean I can go catless without knowing? Probably not but.. anyone knows why? |

Just got inspected a week ago. MHD tuned with catless downpipes. No issues, except for the smear of old adhesive on my windshield.

Yes, if you have catless DPs and no tune, you'll need the DP Fix to pass.
Catless DPs + tune, you'll pass. |

Catless pipe (haven't decided what brand but price matters) N54 midpipe, Xpipe, then 335is muffler. Should be no drone when the flap is activated correct? Does the secondary cat kills too much power? How many cells are those? |

Here's an example of an inspection done with JB4 (map 1 on) vs STOCK (JB4 turned off by setting it at 0). This was done on my pretty much stock 335 before I installed my catless DPs.
Pic on the left is when I forgot to set my JB4 at 0 to turn it OFF and I still passed, but you can see that everything says "not supported". To the right is when I DID turn my JB4 OFF which left the car in stock mode and obviously passed inspection. JB4 ON will pass inspection, but it might raise questions if looked at by state officials and they can instruct you to take it to their own facility to inspect your car THOROUGHLY. They can make you remove whatever they think is aftermarket from that point. That's what I've heard, anyways. So with a JB4, I think you're still gonna need a DP fix. I haven't reached that time of the year yet, so I don't know much about having catless DPs and using a DP fix. |

Yup! Was there for a few days. Water pump quit last week. They found a couple oil leaks as well. Oil filter housing and Valve cover gasket. It's back home now though. Washed and waxed. So happy to have her back.
