I bought the Deltran Battery Tender, which is the same thing. Just not rebranded for BMW.

Step 1: Visit Advanceautoparts.com for this

Step 2: Before checkout, visit retailmenot.com for discount code. I think TRT30 will still work, but double check.

Step 3: Checkout for in-store pickup. Pickup later today.

Oh wow. That's cheap too. Might be able to afford a car cover after all lol. Thanks for the look out

Glad I could be of help guys. I used this charger for the my coolant flush procedure as well. It won't help with base map flashing though. You do need a higher amperage charger for that.

Any info on amperage? It says it's 1.25A. I'm not that fluent in electrical engineering

My friend bought a Duracell 6A. Looks like this one to store his M4 this winter. I dunno if the higher amperage is good?

I would buy one that can also act as a jump starter but that is just me. Just leave it on the lower charge setting up 2A or whatever. not the 10A or 50A jump setting. They auto regulate so you aren't going to overcharge.

This is what I use: https://jet.com/product/product/dd68...t3BBoCixvw_wcB

Had it for 5 years used it many times no issues. It does deep discharge and regular convention SLAs.

A 1.25A trickle for $65 is a bit overpriced. You can buy one for $20 bucks. They are super simple electronics that have been around forever...

I also have the BMW batt tender I got for free with my E91. Never used it though.

it's just a trickle charger. don't overpay.

if you flash you are better of buying a larger one like I posted above as you need at least 6 amps.

This is the one I bought for flashing the ECU. Same scenario, used the coupon code, instore pickup. Got it for dirt cheap. You can always find the latest ones by searching at retailmenot for advance auto parts. I originally bought the Deltran one first for the coolant flush procedure, then this one. I would sell the Deltran one but it will prove useful when I store the car this winter.

looks good. no 50amp jump capacity like the one I linked but that is also a feature I have yet to use in my 5 years of ownership. Also a 10A feed to a dead batt will only take a bit before it can be used to start an engine and then it will charge on its own. looks like a great deal especially if you get the discount.

I am keeping the tender for the same reason. Might as well use that as that is what is was made for and keep the larger one for tending my bench top battery and/or so I can bring it places.

aren't batteries fun?

that retailmenot website looks good. is it all legit?
